GOING TO MEET ATLAS MOUNTAINS

‪#‎travel‬ _GOING TO MEET ATLAS MOUNTAINS It was a time to move from Marrakesh and to face some adventures. The first destination was Atlas Mountains. We didn’t know exactly where our day will end but we trusted the power of “go with the flow”. Early morning we rented the car, Vilija had put our “Morocco playlist" on Spotify and it started! I have to say that the traffic in Marrakesh is totally OK! Maybe not as “clean” as in European cities, but you can handle it! We heard about few spots “must check” in the mountains, so we did. Imlil was our destination. This is a small town where tourists start their tacking to the Summit. It's around 4 days trip. We were eager to make it but limited time forced us to weight the priorities and we had to leave it for the next time. So we passed the town and decided to move till the road ends (doesn’t sound smart, I know, but we were curious what is behind the next turn, and the next and the next..) Ok, the road ended. Few locals from the village were asking if we are looking for a homestay, but we already knew we are sleeping in the car tonight. Got off for a small track and to take some fascinating mountain landscape snapshots. We were watching how small horses (from far looking like donkeys) were caring goods to the village. Steep and narrow mountain roads and those heavy packages on horse backs.. Guess it’s their mission - however sad. Driving back - we were literally in the dead end of the road. Time to eat - it was getting dark. We were so happy we made those great shots of the mountains until the moment when Vilija pressed the ‘format’ button on the camera.. All the photos of that day were gone.. But we keep them in our memories smile emoticon and therefore I am sharing with you iPhone selfies this time!
